Ric Gordon

Ric Gordon

In a career spanning 5 decades, this veteran record producer and artist has forged an original genre spanning sound. 2023 started with a new distribution deal with Symphonic bringing Ric’s catalog of 12 albums/EPs and 5 singles to streaming for the first time.

Ric started his music career in Kansas City early at age 14. After graduating high school in 1970, Ric moved to NYC's Greenwich Village as a 17-year-old singer/songwriter.

In 1976, Ric started working in Nashville co-producing artist Gary Apple at Monument Records with Country Music Hall of Fame Producer Fred Foster. Those sessions yielded a 1978 album and two singles, with the second spending nine weeks on the charts. In 1980, Ric released his debut solo album "Just Can't Get Enough." The album has gone on to become a seminal work in punk rock.

In 1983, Ric stepped away from music earning a PhD in physics. He spent 20 years as a scientist doing work on neural networks, the component of all modern artificial intelligence. In October 2012, Ric reprised his scientist role speaking at TEDx Overland Park.

In 2007, Ric returned to the music business founding indie record label Russian Winter Records, later changing the name to Buffalo Burger Records, releasing albums and singles from a roster of artists.  Ric also published the Floorshime Zipper Boots music blog until 2019 featuring daily release reviews from emerging artists worldwide with a monthly readership of 12,000.
